Dr. Lisa Hsuan D.V.M.

Lisa Hsuan D.V.M.

Dr. Lisa is an actively engaged veterinarian, committed to enhancing animal welfare and strengthening the human-animal bond. A graduate from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, she has also received veterinary research fellowships from Stanford University and the University of Tokyo. Dr. Lisa started in zoo animal medicine, followed by private practice in Los Angeles and substantial involvement in the non-profit sector. Her advocacy extends to spay/neuter programs, feral cat trap-and-release efforts and anti-cruelty campaigns. Dr. Lisa was the recipient of the three President's Volunteer Service Awards and is currently working on several spay/neuter projects abroad.

Christy Furukawa

CHRISTY FURUKAWA, Fear-free Certified Practice ManageR:

Christy has had much experience in veterinary hospitals and has volunteered with the California Wolf Center. She is a graduate of UC San Diego, and is preparing to go to veterinary school. Christy rescued a blind labrador named Vic from the San Diego animal shelter. He's a real cutie!

Melissa Shea, RVT, Fear-Free Certified, Assc. Professor Pierce College:

Melissa, a registered veterinary technician since 2017, boasts an impressive array of skills encompassing surgery, anesthesia, companion animal medicine, preventive care, and behavior. Her dual roles as an educator at Pierce College and a clinical practitioner at AHCC highlight her commitment to advancing veterinary care. With her surgical expertise, Melissa ensures that each patient receives unparalleled care. At home, she has beloved Pitbull Sudo as well as several exotic pets.

Markus Hicks, Technician Assistant :

Markus's journey into animal hospitals commenced during his teenage years. Working alongside his veterinary technician mother, his adeptness at animal handling became evident. Markus’ skill at low-stress animal restraint has made him a favorite among our anxious patients. Outside of work, Markus is an excellent artist who enjoys drawing and creating comic books.

Jonny Trujillo, Fear-free Certified Veterinary Assistant:

Fueled by his upbringing surrounded by pets, Jonny began his veterinary career in exotic animal medicine and emergency critical care. His diverse background has made him knowledgeable in various aspects of veterinary medicine including anesthesia, dentistry, radiology and diagnostic equipment maintenance. He assists in various departments, ensuring optimal care. Jonny has an affinity for black cats and enjoys music and traveling.

Isabell Miranda, Fear-free Certified RVT. :

Isabell graduated with honors from Platt College in 2012 and was the inaugural president of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians student chapter.
She began working in exotic animal medicine and emergency critical care. She later worked in Dermatology specialty practice. Isabell is passionate about feline medicine and companion exotics. She is also dedicated to client education and animal welfare. In her free time, Isabell enjoys cooking with her adorable feline companions.

Olga Diaz, Fear-Free Certified Technician Assistant:

Olga is known for her exceptional patient care and friendly demeanor. With expertise in pet enrichment and stress reduction techniques, Olga enhances the well-being of our patients. Her collaborative nature makes her a valuable team player. Beyond work, she enjoys spending time with Jack the Weimaraner and Shakira the tabby cat.
