Lisa Hsuan
D.V.M., Fear-Free Certified
Dr. Lisa is an actively engaged veterinarian, committed to enhancing animal welfare and strengthening the human-animal bond. A graduate from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, she has also received veterinary research fellowships from Stanford University and the University of Tokyo. Dr. Lisa started in zoo animal medicine, followed by private practice in
Los Angeles and substantial involvement in the non-profit sector. Her advocacy extends to spay/neuter programs, feral cat trap-and-release efforts and anti-cruelty campaigns. Dr. Lisa was the recipient of the three President's Volunteer Service Awards and is currently working on several spay/neuter projects abroad.

Elizabeth Paulosky
D.V.M., Fear-Free Certified
Dr. Paulosky has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Eagle Rock/Highland Park area for over 20 years, serving a diverse community of pets and their owners. She is committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate care by balancing each patient’s medical needs with their owners’ concerns. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, she approaches her work with empathy, support, and dedication. At home, she lives with her 11-year-old Pomeranian, whom she rescued after a severe Parvo infection, along with a pet turtle and a mouse.

CHRISTY FURUKAWA
Practice Manager, Fear-free Certified
Christy earned her Biology degree from UC San Diego. She has extensive experience in veterinary hospitals and has worked as our practice manager for many years. Christy does it all, and our team and clients appreciate her expertise. Her passion for animals extends beyond the clinic, as she has volunteered at the California Wolf Center and travels around the world to see
wildlife. At home, she has a blind rescue Labrador named Vic. He’s a real cutie!

Melissa Shea
RVT, Fear-Free Certified, Assc. Professor Pierce College
Melissa, a registered veterinary technician since 2017, boasts an impressive array of skills encompassing surgery, anesthesia, companion animal medicine, preventive care, and behavior. Her dual roles as an educator at Pierce College and a clinical practitioner at AHCC highlight her commitment to advancing veterinary care. With her surgical expertise, Melissa ensures that each patient receives unparalleled care. At home, she has a beloved Pitbull Sudo, as well as several exotic pets.

Isabell Miranda

Her collaborative nature makes her a valuable team player. Beyond work, she enjoys spending time with Jack the Weimaraner and Shakira the tabby cat.

Jennifer Delgado
Technician Assistant, Fear-Free Certified
Jen began her veterinary career as a kennel assistant in 2013 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2017. She holds degrees in Animal Science and Veterinary Technology, with additional training from the Amphibian Foundation. Her experience includes emergency, ophthalmology, general practice, and exotic animal care. Jen is passionate about enrichment, behavior, and client education. At home, she has two cats, a Ball python, frogs, fish, and the occasional foster.

Andrea Reading
Digital Media Specialist, Fear-Free Certified
Andrea graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s in Digital Media. She specializes in web design, social media management, and media production. At AHCC, she uses these skills to share meaningful stories and advocate for animal causes. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her rescue dog, Remy.
